The Special Areas Board is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Water Services Technician to support the provision of high-quality water services. This role involves water treatment, distribution, testing, and reporting, as well as infrastructure maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with safety standards. The successful candidate thrives in a busy, dynamic, and varied work environment and is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Alberta Environment Class I Certificate of Qualification in water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, and wastewater collection is desirable; applicants without this certification will be considered.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience related to water treatment, plumbing, or irrigation systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally using courtesy, tact, and discretion when addressing requests, complaints, and clarifications.
• Proven judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze, interpret, and modify methods and procedures as needed.
