Weed inspection and weed/brush control, including chemical control. Promotion of soil conservation and agricultural pest surveys with producers, providing information and addressing concerns from ratepayers. Providing clear analysis and reporting on weed control activities, and maintaining, repairing, and delivering rental equipment. Delivering the Special Areas Safety Program and all reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education (farming/agricultural program preferred)
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• Boater’s licence (or ability to get) for Red Deer River applicants
• Physical capabilities to perform job duties - required lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. backpack sprayers and have a mechanical aptitude
• Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy, tact and discretion and use good judgement
