Whether you're starting your career or have previous experience, these roles place you on active construction sites supporting the construction, repair, and maintenance of municipal roads. You'll assist with tasks such as grading and compacting gravel, patching asphalt, installing signage and guardrails, operating and supporting construction equipment, and performing general site preparation clean-up. Working alongside experienced crew members, you'll take on physically active responsibilities while developing practical construction skills that can lead to future opportunities in road construction and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (GED) – combination of experience/education will be considered

• Prior road maintenance and/or construction experience is an asset

• Physical capabilities to perform job duties - required lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.

• Working knowledge in the care and use of tools and equipment common to these positions

• Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy, tact and discretion and use good judgement

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Preference may be given to candidates possessing:

• Class 3 AB Drivers License – Air Endorsement

• Class 1 Drivers License
