Make your summer count by gaining hands-on experience in facilities and grounds maintenance. Whether you’re starting your career or bringing experience in maintenance, custodial, or labor-related work, this role supports the upkeep and safe operation of buildings, grounds, and surrounding areas. You’ll assist with general facility maintenance tasks, basic repairs, equipment use, groundskeeping, and routine inspections, while helping maintain clean, safe, and functional public spaces. Working alongside experienced staff, you’ll take on practical responsibilities and develop skills that support future opportunities in facilities maintenance, public works, or municipal operations from late spring through summer.
- Grade 12 (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License
- Physical capability to perform the job duties required – lifting up to 50 lbs
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials and methods
- Good judgment and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
