Position Profile: General building and property maintenance services to the building and grounds. Mechanically inclined with a basic working knowledge of construction and building materials, electricity, pneumatics, heating and cooling, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and preservative maintenance procedures. Good health; must be physically able to perform duties as set out and physically able to perform duties as set out and physically able lift 25kg. Paint interior and exterior surfaces as required and maintain inventory of new equipment, manuals and warranties.  Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:00pm/9:00am-5:00pm. On-call every other weekend. Position will be open until suitable candidate is found.

Requirements:

• Basic computer skills.

• Proper footwear (approved steel toed boots) - a yearly allowance is given

• A desire to work with seniors

• Driver’s license

• Strong cooperative abilities, and a desire to continuously learn

• WHMIS/First Aid

• Any other courses required by Acadia Foundation and updated on a regular basis
