The Library Program Coordinator (Part-Time) is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing a variety of educational, cultural, and community-focused programs and services within the Library. This role involves collaborating with Library staff, community organizations, and stakeholders to develop programs that meet the needs of diverse library users. In addition to program coordination, the position will also include coverage of the circulation desk as needed.

Requirements:

  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for library patrons, ensuring all programs are accessible and meet the needs of diverse community members.
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate a variety of Library programs, including educational workshops, literacy initiatives, author talks, cultural events and special activities for a variety age groups.
  • Engage with community groups, schools and local organizations to promote Library programs and encourage participation.
  • Collaborate with Library staff and community partners to ensure programs align with the Library’s goals and respond to community interests and needs.
  • Oversee event logistics, including scheduling, securing speakers or facilitators, preparing materials, setting up spaces and ensuring programs run smoothly.
  • Track program attendance, collect feedback, and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of library programs and recommend improvements.
