Closing Date: August 21, 2026

Assist with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems ensuring safe, clean drinking water. Tank cleaning, sewer flushing, line blowouts, water meter installs/removals, water hauling; collect and deliver water samples as required. Inspect and maintain buildings in Cereal and other hamlets; assist plumbers with plumbing, heating, cooling and wastewater repairs. Mow grass and maintain hamlets, lagoons, waste sites, water plants and truck fills; plow and remove snow during winter months; perform minor road repairs as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Small systems certification (waste and wastewater)
• Experience with water system maintenance, equipment operation, safety practices, and general mechanical work
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally using courtesy, tact, and discretion when addressing requests, complaints, and clarifications
• Class 5 AB Driver's License, and the physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50lbs
• Intermediate computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Preference to candidate possessing an Alberta Environment Class 1 Certificate of Qualification in water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, and wastewater collection
• Class 3 AB Driver's Licence with Air Endorsement
