The Finance & Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the financial health, regulatory compliance, and human resource functions of the organization. This includes payroll, grant and year-end reporting, working with the Board of Directors, maintaining insurance and lease agreements, supporting employee onboarding, and contributing to funding applications and audits. The successful candidate will be both highly organized and community-minded, working closely with the Executive Director and program teams to ensure our systems reflect our values of integrity, respect, and service.

Requirements:

  • Manage payroll, overseeing CRA remittances, and annual reconciliations (T4s/T4As, ROEs)
  • Maintain accurate and timely bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online
  • Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports and board packages
  • Support budgeting and reporting for funding proposals and grant claims
  • Complete quarterly GST filings, WCB annual returns, and review annual charity return (T3010)
  • Support external accountants with year-end audits and filings
