We are seeking an Equipment Operator III (Class 1) to join our team. This role involves a combination of truck and equipment operation, in-shop work, and field tasks for Special Areas and at the Youngstown Service Centre, which features nineteen service bays and supports a wide range of heavy equipment. The successful candidate will operate picker trucks, Class 1 trucks, and other heavy machinery for hauling, deliveries, and snowplow operations, perform routine inspections and minor maintenance, and ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with Special Areas policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience operating picker trucks and Class 1 trucks for gravel and aggregate hauling, or equivalent experience in an operational or service-related field.
• Valid Class 1 Operator’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement and demonstrated ability to safely and efficiently operate heavy transportation and related equipment.
• Competent in the operation of HIAB articulating crane model 232ES-5 and PALFINGER cranes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally using courtesy, tact, and discretion when addressing requests, complaints, and clarifications.
