Knowledge of the basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations. Experience with pre-ferments: levain, poolish, sponge. Comfortable working early morning and weekend shifts. A passion for providing an exceptional customer experience. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and multi-task. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Requirements:
- Measure, mix, scale, need, hand-shape, and score bread
- Bake traditional bread and bakery products
- Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)
- Adhere to quality, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitized the work area
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Handle customer service inquiries and provide a positive customer experience
